About Us

Drone Academy is an educational institute that specialises in delivering quality drone education. Founded in December 2022, our aim is to supplement the local education curriculum with real-world experience so that our children can grow with relevant 21st-century skills.

Core Values

We stand firmly by foundational values that we aim to cultivate within every single student:

Innovation

Pursuing new creative ideas that have the potential to change the world.

Integrity

Acting with honesty and honor in all our actions.

Teamwork

Working collaboratively in order to achieve our goals.

Transparency

Being open in how we conduct ourselves with clients.

Quality

Providing outstanding services to deliver premium value to our clients.

Our Mission

Blending STE(A)M (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to develop Africa's tomorrow well-versed technological gurus; confident adults who feel ready to navigate the complex and rapidly changing realities of the world together.

Our Vision

Giving our students an educational experience they will cherish for a lifetime.

National Curriculum Alignment

Our curriculum was designed to align with our national competency-based curriculum framework. This is realized through practical-oriented learning strategies. It shifts focus from standard content memorization toward data application, technical skill acquisition, and contextual problem-solving, perfectly readying Zimbabwean learners to compete successfully in the modern global labor market.

Our Core Curriculum

A multi-disciplinary STEM framework designed for deep technical immersion and interactive, collaborative problem-solving.

STE(A)M in Drone Education

S - Science

Drones are used to collect critical environmental data, including macro weather tracking configurations, geological formations, and ecological patterns. At Drone Academy, these tracking models are converted into real environmental missions for student exploration.

T - Technology

Drones represent advanced computing nodes, drawing structural processing logic from onboard sensory arrays, specialized spatial gyros, cameras, and localized GPS telemetry configurations.

E - Engineering

From aerodynamics to materials science and core robotics, structural optimization layout processes ensure lightweight balancing. We demystify the design engineering blueprint of these phantoms of the sky.

A - Art

Cinematic capture modes redefine narrative angles. Students approach dynamic media development, cinematic camera flight vectors, and creative reporting directly from their telemetry logs.

M - Mathematics

Geometric modeling parameters, variable processing paths, spatial orientation metrics, tracking calculations, and telemetry communication scripts run explicitly on core mathematical foundations.

Beyond the Classroom: 3 Reasons Your Child Should Master Drones

Discover why drone education is transforming STEM learning in Zimbabwe

1. Real-World Systems

Our students act as real-world drone solution engineers tackling vital localized missions:

  • Precision Farming: Simulating flight tracking arrays over fields to target pests before crop damage spreads.
  • Emergency Logistics: Programming autonomous coordinates to route critical supplies safely over mapped boundaries.

2. Iterative Debugging

In flight mechanics, edge cases are constants—teaching critical troubleshooting paths:

  • Children actively handle variables, loop structures, system calibrations, and wind variations.
  • Builds an essential "fail-forward" resilience optimization framework critical to early neurological data mapping.

3. Cohesive Synergies

Group metrics optimize interactive social collaboration directly through team execution plans:

  • Collaborating in structured groups to align custom choreography sequences and complex obstacle navigation parameters.
  • Deeply instills core Social Emotional Learning (SEL) principles required for handling future environmental complexities.

Ready to Start the Countdown? 🚀

Safety is our primary parameter. Our curriculum features structured CAAZ (Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe) regulatory alignment modules paired with fully indoor-safe flight containment rule designs.
